The Maine to me is a family. A family that openly accepts anyone no matter who they are or what they have done in the past. They have taught me to go after everything I’ve wanted and don’t regret anything. They taught me how to accept myself even when others don’t, simply because I am ME and that’s the “fucking best way” in the words of John that you could be. Never lose touch with what’s truly important in life, because no one out there is worth changing yourself when there is someone out there for everyone. Their music has given me as well as others comfort and hope in the hardest situations that life could throw at us. Just listening to their music, or even going to a concert of THE MAINE is an escape. It’s somewhere where we all feel needed and appreciated. It makes us feel like we are worth something to someone.
“M” Most people know it as the sign for THE MAINE, and yes this is in fact true..But to us it means soo much more than that though.. It means following your dreams no matter what anyone says, living life the way you want, having fun.. It means having hope when all else fails. The simple “M” brings us all together, it makes us feel special. This symbol stands for oh soo very much…The words “We all have been degraded, we all will be the greatest”, mean more to me that anything else in the world. Through this band we have met so many people who share the love for The Maine. Together we make this big family, that no regular family could make us feel the way that we feel with them, without these guys i don’t think i would be who i am today.. or even here without them. My love for THE MAINE is everlasting….
